Collection: Karim Rashid

Born in Cairo to Egyptian and English parents, and raised in Canada, Karim now resides in New York, managing his private design studio. To date he has had around 3000 objects put into production and has successfully entered the field of architecture and interior design, designing the restaurante Morimoto in Philadelphia and the Hotel Semiramis in Athens.

Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation, having worked in over 40 countries, with over 3,000 designs in production and over 300 awards.

His designs include luxury goods, furniture, lighting, landscape design, brand identity and packaging.

His work is in the permanent collections of fourteen museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Pompidou Center in Paris, and exhibits in various art galleries. Rashid was an Associate Professor of Industrial Design for 10 years and is now a frequent guest speaker at universities and conferences worldwide.
