Ross Lovegrove was born in Wales in 1958. He is a British industrial designer, best known for his work on the Sony Walkman. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London and has carried out important projects for Airbus, Kartell, Ceccotti, Cappellini, Moroso, Driade, Peugeot, Apple, Vitra, Olympus, Herman Miller... among others.

His designs have been exhibited at MoMA in New York, the Center Pompidou in Paris and the Axis Center in Japan. In addition to being awarded the REDDOT Design Award and the World Technology Award from Times Magazine.
