Collection: Teresa Sapey

Teresa Sapey is an architect and designer born in Turin (Italy) in 1963. In addition, she is one of the main female art collectors residing in Spain. The particularity of its art collection is that it is made up mainly of works of video art.

Established in Madrid since 1988, its leap to popularity occurs in 2005, when it participates in the collective project of the Puerta de América hotel , together with highly renowned architects such as Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid or Norman Foster, in charge of the car park plant. His vigorous and colorful way of understanding spaces that, until then, were considered secondary, earned him a well-deserved fame and he began to carry out car park projects throughout Spain, which are published and advertised throughout the world.
She is currently a professor of plastic research at the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid and has been a visiting professor at several foreign universities (McGill University in Montreal, the Carleton University of Ottawa, the University of Waterloo in Toronto, and the Domus Academy in Milan) .
